Our Mission

Songs of the Journey Counseling Services' mission is to become trustworthy partners with families and clients to offer wholistic support in exploring choices for coping with, learning from, and finding purpose through our human suffering.

In essence, we believe in empowering people to participate in their own healing journey.

About Us

In September, 2009, Jeanne Taylor and Steve Bede opened Songs of the Journey Counseling Services, LLC. Both have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings. They are Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers, licensed by the Minnesota Board of Social Work. Jeanne and Steve are credentialed by major insurance companies in including Medical Assistance, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Health Partners, UCARE, and Medica. Payment for services is generally covered by insurance. Steve and Jeanne are committed to social justice, strengthening families, and joining in building stronger communities.

Services

Serving children, adolescents, adults and families in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and East Central Minnesota. Out-patient therapy is offered in our North Minneapolis office. In-home therapy services are available in Minneapolis and surrounding communities, including East Central Minnesota.

We specialize in:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bi-polar
  • Trauma recovery
  • Grief counseling

We integrate evidence based and creative therapeutic approaches with opportunities to explore the interconnections between the mind, body, and spirit as they relate to one's overall health. We encourage people to reflect on all areas of their lives: diet, exercise, attitudes, sleep, support systems, coping mechanisms, humor, and strengths, while we explore how these lend wings to one's renewal.
